Debi and I found each other on the Internet several years ago via our mutual cousin Bradley Galleymore, who is now deceased. Genealogical research shows us to be fourth cousins. Brad was her first cousin and my fourth. She and her friend Bob set sail on a trip around the world in their yacht, Anne M, a few years ago. I told her if the voyage found her anywhere within a day's drive of me, I would go meet her. In November 2003, she e-mailed me from Virginia and informed me that the closest they would be getting would be Beaufort, North Carolina. I looked at the map, saw it was a 10-hour drive, and decided to go.
