Ichetucknee Springs Tubing - July 30, 2005

Just a week after going with Mom, Andy, et al., Dana and I go tubing down the Ichetucknee River. We got an early start and put in at the North end and took out at Dampier's Landing, where I had put in the previous week. The water had gone down about 18 inches in the course of the week. After the good experience with the disposable camera the previous trip, I bought an Aquapac case and took my old Canon Powershot G1 along on this trip.

Starting out, Dana paddles us away while I fuss with the camera. The yellow tubes in the background are at the launch point.

We saw several of these. We even saw one come up from underwater with a fish in its mouth and swallow, but I wasn't fast enough with the camera.
